Greg Nordbak has served on the Whittier City Council since his election in 1994. He was re-elected in 1998, and has served as Mayor ProTem in 1996-'98 and as Mayor in 1998-'00.
Greg's keen interest in infrastructure matters has caused him to get more involved with water issues in his role as a City Councilman. His active participation in the Southeast Water Coalition has made him aware of the water contamination issues in both Main San Gabriel and Central Basins. He also participates in City Council items concerning Whittier's involvement in treatment facilities proposed by both the Environmental Protection agency and Central Basin. Clean water is a major issue and concern for Greg and this has generated his interest in serving on the Water Quality Authority.
